Indiana University Southeast - Design Center Aug - Dec 2017
Design Center is a student-staffed graphic design internship program dedicated to in-house design projects for Indiana University Southeast schools and programs as-well-as regional nonprofits. It is the objective of the Design Center to equip students with real-world experience in dealing with client-focused graphic design. This is accomplished through faculty mentoring, direct client interactions, and collaborative team projects.

Design Center client: The Music Business program
Shown here is a final version of a 13" x 19" poster created for Mr. Timothy Haertel, Lecturer in Music Industry and Advisor for Sound Engineering and Music Business who heads the Music Business program which advertises the B.S. degree where elements of business, music, and journalism, as suggested in the iconic portfolio and headset.
Design Center client: Ichor
Ichor is a startup from three MBA students at the University of Louisville and they approached the Design Center for a logo design as well as a complete visual identity system to help market their ideas at a contest and shown here is the visual identity during their presentation on November 11, 2017 at Ballard Norton New Venture Competition.
Design Center client: The 14th Annual IU Southeast Student Conference
Shown above are two versions for a poster design created for The 14th Annual IU Southeast Student Conference scheduled in April of 2018 as designed by BFA Graphic Design student Felicia Hill. The design was approved by the organizer, Dr. Diane E. Wille, Dean of Research and Graduate Studies at Indiana University Southeast.
Shown below are selected finalized designs from this semester. It is uncommon to have projects that are carried over into the next semesters.

Design Center client: Professor Joanna Goldstein's CD
Professor of Music at Indiana University Southeast, Dr. Joanna Goldstein was also formerly the Dean of the School of Arts & Letters until 2001 who commissioned a CD cover for her consecutive recordings titled "They Persisted" Created by the Design Center, the final chosen design was done by Kayla Feuquay with three other designs from the following students (bottom left, clockwise): Parker Bolin, Louis Herlihy, and Kacey Slone.
The Review
Led by project leader Louise Herlihy with Jamie Campbell, Marissa Kress, Connor Olberding, and Felicia Hill to create a cover and layout design for Review, the IU Southeast journal of the English department, the page template consisted of five columns. For short fiction, one text box that spans four columns for the page. For poetry, two columns were allocated within a page. In order to maintain consistency with previous publications, the font Avenir, set at 9pt, leading default, and left aligned were used. From top left: Jamie Campbell, Felicia Hill, and bottom: Louis Herlihy's layout ideas which was finalized by the client.
