Linear oganizations through music
This group of foundational students were first exposed to the principle design of linear organization characterized by the arrangement of several compositional elements or spaces into a linear sequence or series. Music is played in the background and they are to tasked with relating each element to another through repetition of physical, visual and structural attributes.
Zodiac animals
In exposing the students to exploration possibilities, in this case, using outer contours of animals and letters to make up the inside of the chosen animal from the Chinese zodiac, Nurul Huda Khamis not only explored with sketches but also computer explorations at a later stage which gave them more flexibilities.
They are also required to explore how different colors in can influence their design such as the background and border colors. Samples below by Chua Yi Fang.

Reptition in motion
In design, it's easier to point out something that is not balanced but if something lacks unity, it is harder to do so. Unity is a useful design principle in achieving cohesion or wholeness in design. Successfully done, different elements support each other and a sense of harmony is created. In this assignment, students explore how Unity and rhythm can be achieved.
Repetition means to use again and with same repeated patterns, one can create a sense of continuity, harmony or linearity.
By repeating with altered sizes and shapes, one can render inconsistency in balancing a design but it can also result in variety. Variety creates contrast than can be captivating but too much of it (such as varieties in shapes, sizes, colors, values, textures and locations), we may end up with confusion and chaos.

A New View of Reality
By adopting new ways of interpreting our preconceived notions, students explore different ways to derive new meanings with provocative combination of text and images. Students create either open/direct or concealed/ambiguous messages in editorial, educational, religious, scientific, spiritual and commercial contexts.
The aim of the assignment is to explore composition principles with specific focus on focal point, movement, direction and contrast. More importantly, students explore image-making to communicate meaning.

A New View of Reality
This student meticulously took apart a Matchbox toy to create his interpretation of this interpretation of the consequences of drinking and driving.
Aida Azlin's interpretation of a racist's reality.
A New View of Reality
Every year, thousands of animals were abandoned and these animals never know what they did wrong. Kenny Tan wanted to do something about it through this class assignment where he called the notion that if we still love the animal, why are we abandoning it?
A New View of Reality
Created as a class assignment for the SPCA of Singapore, the idea is very simple and that is by showing the behind of a cat which ironically appeared in the shape of love to tell their owners to get their beloved pets spayed and neutered.
